Beaver Pelts were Softgold
In anticipation of the Lewis and Clark Bi-Centennial, songwriter Dale Rollins invisioned a project that might help spark a new appreciation for that era of American history. He learned about the rise of the fur trade in the early 1800's, and how it had prompted exploration of the American West. Historians call it the Soft Gold era. So, Dale called his record label--The Softgold Project ™.
